摘 要:通过对各高校硕士研究生招生简章、课程计划及学位论文评估细则进行分析,本文比较了我国香港与内地八所高校在英语专业研究生输入评价、过程评价、输出评价三个主要评估环节上的异同点。在此基础上,我们提出内地高校应借鉴香港高校的优秀经验,在研究生入学选拔中尝试引入其他选拔方式多角度考察学生的素质与能力;在课程学习中采取定性与定量评估相结合以及学术档案袋形式;规范学位论文评估环节,提高答辩质量;构建与完善英语专业研究生学术能力评估体系,切实促进研究生语言能力、专业理论知识以及科研能力的长足发展。On the basis of the enrollment brochures, coursework requirements and regulations governing the awards of Master's degree, this paper makes a comparative study on the assessment of English-major postgraduates at 8 universi- ties in Mainland and Hong Kong, China from 3 perspectives--input evaluation, process evaluation and output evalua- tion. We then suggest that universities in China's Mainland can learn from the successful experience of universities in Hong Kong such as diversifying the mode of graduate entrance examination, combining qualitative and quantitative as- sessments as well as adopting academic portfolio in course learning. Furthermore, submission and examination of dis- sertation should be strictly administered. The paper concludes that, with the need to construct a more reliable and ef- ficient evaluation system of academic competence, such factors as language competence, professional knowledge and research abilities are taken into account.
