摘　　要：《万国公法》是近代中国第一部系统介绍国际法的著作。该书引入西方国际法理论的同时,也介绍了近代西方国家理论,如国家的定义、三权分立等。此外,"sovereignty"、"state"、"citizen"等一批近代西方政治学术语的译介及流变,对于近代中国的思想文化产生了较大的影响。Elements of International Law is the first book introducing international law in modern China. It imported international law theory and modem west theory on State, such as the definition of state and the separation of three powers. In addition, many terminolo- gies as Sovereignty and Citizen were translated. This has had great influence on modem China.
