The Impact of Education Quantity and Education Quality on Rural Residents' Income——Based on the Empirical Analysis of Provincial Panel Data

摘  要:将教育质量纳入明瑟收入函数之中,利用2000—2008年的省级面板数据,从不同层面分别验证教育数量和教育质量对农村居民收入的影响。研究结果表明:教育数量和教育质量均对农村居民收入有显著的影响,相比较而言,东部地区教育质量的收入效应大于中西部地区,中西部地区教育数量的收入效应大于东部地区,即东、中、西部地区的教育发展具有阶段性特点;从不同收入来源的构成来看,家庭经营收入和财产性收入受教育质量的影响大于受教育数量的影响,而工资性收入和转移性收入的受影响情况却恰恰相反。农村教育从"数量型"转向"质量型"乃大势所趋,这有利于更好更快地改善农村地区的教育发展水平和农村居民的收入状况。因此,在继续做好义务教育的普及基础上注重提高教育质量,并合理配置用于教育数量扩展和教育质量提升所需的教育资源。By bringing the education quality into the Mincer income function, with the provincial panel data from 2000 to 2008, the impact of education quality and education quantity on rural residents" income has been verified. It is found out that both education quantity and education quality have significant influence on rural residents" income. In comparison, the education quality of eastern regions has bigger effect than that of the central and western regions, the education quantity of the central and western regions has bigger effect than that of the eastern regions. That is to say, the eastern, central and western regions have phasic characteristics in education development. From the composition of different income sources, it is indicated that education quality has greater influence on family business income and property income than education quantity, while the influence on the income from the transitivity and wages is exactly opposite. The transformation from quantity-style to quality-style is the general trend in rural education, which is beneficial to improving the level of educational development in rural areas and the income situation of rural residents. Therefore, when going on with the popularization of compulsory education, we should also pay attention to the promotion of quality, and reasonably allocate educational resources between the extension of educational quantity and the improvement of educational quality.
