摘　　要：T.S.艾略特的意象观念汇涓涓细流、集众家之长。在意象观念逐渐成熟的过程中,艾略特的诗歌在不同时期彰显出各异的意象特征,直至＂客观对应物＂诗学理论的提出。本文通过探求浪漫主义、玄学派诗歌、意象主义、象征主义诗歌和基督教传统思想对艾略特意象观形成所产生的重要影响,对艾略特《普鲁弗洛克的情歌》、《荒原》和《四个四重奏》等主要诗歌中的意象观变化及相互关联进行分析,并藉以探索诗人独特的创造精神以及诗歌中蕴含的哲学深意。The formation of T.S.Eliot＇s notion of image is a process of continuous integration of different schools＇ essence. Not until the ＂objective correlative＂ theory was finally put forward, did T.S.Eliot＇s poetry demonstrate distinctive characteristics in images as his notion of image maturing.This essay centers on the change and inter-relation of Eliot＇s notion of image in his major poetry（inclusive of ＂The Love Song of J.Alfred Prufrock＂,＂ The Waste Land＂ and ＂Four Quartets＂ ）,upon which romantic, metaphysical,imagist,symbolic poetry and Christian tradition have exerted a significant impact.The study also aims at exploring Eliot＇s unique creative spirit and the philosophical connotations embodied in his poetry.
