压抑与疯狂 冲突与异化——读奈保尔短篇小说集《米盖尔街》

摘　　要：本文采用文本分析的研究方法,结合奈保尔形式各异的短篇小说产生的历史文化背景,对其形式各异的短篇小说,对贯穿其所有作品的主题,人性的"压抑与疯狂,冲突与异化",进行了多向度的挖掘和阐释,指出:南美的童年经历,使其童年生活充实而难忘,而剑桥大学的西学训练,却使他在精神上远离了他的美洲故乡,并将其童年及其童年置身其中的美洲,置于他现实生活之外的梦幻世界之中;奈保尔生活背景和生活经历表象上的丰富性与其在文化认同、价值归依与精神家园等方面的缺失或部分缺失性,是导致"奈保尔现象"出现的终极因素。The present article tries to deal with the themes of Naipaul’s short stories,'Depression, Craziness,Conflict and Alienation’,from the perspective of textual analysis,coupled with the historical and cultural background in which his works were brought about,with the conclusion that Naipaul’s unforgettable childhood in South America and his later Western academic training have made an incompatible reality for him to lead a life with a solid cultural identity,and that the superficial variegated life experience with his cultural rootless reality is the ultimate cause of this'Naipaul Phenomenon'.
