摘　　要：学习动机和自主学习是外语教学中的研究热点,本文以贵州师范大学200名非英语专业大学一年级学生为调查对象,对他们的英语学习动机和自主学习能力进行了相关性研究,旨在通过对问题的梳理,为大学英语教学提供新的思路。Motivation and learner autonomy have been the research focuses in foreign language teaching in recent years. A correlation study between the motivation and autonomous learning ability has been conducted on the first - year non - English majors in Guizhou Normal University. This paper analyzes the content, procedure of the study and some thoughts are mentioned as well. Hopefully by sorting out the matters, the author aims at providing a new thinking about the teaching.
