摘　　要：为了培养英语学习者的批判性思维、逻辑推理、快速反应及流利表达能力,大学开设英语演讲课成为必然。以新的理念编写出适合中国学生的演讲课教材,坚持"学生为中心"的教学原则,设计具体可行的教学方法和教学环节,是实现演讲课目标效果的基础性工作。In order to cultivate English leamers＇ ability of critical thinking, logical reasoning, quick reacting and flu- ent expressing, it is very necessary for colleges to offer public speaking course for students. Compiling textbooks suitable for Chinese students under the guidance of new ideas and designing workable teaching methods and steps in accordance with student-centered teaching principle are fundamental to the realization of the goals of public speaking course.
