摘　　要：公安院校的主要任务是培养合格警务人才。涉外警务专业的设置应以公安学和管理学为依托,既不能隶属于治安学或侦查学,也不应直接指向国际警务合作,而要根据公安机关涉外警务业务的需要,遵循教育规律,凸显外语特色,培养学生的基本素质和综合执法能力的现代涉外警务人员。The mandate of police education institutes is educate qualified talents. The setting of foreign police affairs major shall be based on policing theory and management. It shall not fall into the category of public order or investigation, nor international police cooperation. It shall be in accordance with the requirements posted by public security organs to foreign policing affairs. The major setting shall follow the law of education, highlighting foreign language teaching, with the aim to educate qualified modern police who can handle foreign police affairs with comprehensive law enforcement ability.
