摘　　要：北京辅仁大学(1925-1952)是一所直属罗马教廷,由中国籍天主教领袖英敛之等人倡导发起,由教廷委托美国本笃会协助创办的天主教大学。自辅仁大学在北京创建、走向鼎盛及至终结,著名历史学家、教育家陈垣一直执长该校(1926-1952),他在教育实践中构建了一套中西会通、育人目标精优唯是、学科建设通专兼备、教学科研并驾齐驱的大学理念并践行之,从而使北京辅仁大学走出了一条有效的发展之路。Fu Jen University in Peking（ 1925- 1952）was a Catholic university directly under the Vatican which was initiated by Chinese Catholic leaders including Ying Lian-zi and founded by the American Order of Saint Benedict under the authorization of the Vatican. Chen Yuan, a maior historian and educator in China＇s modern history, ran Fu Jen University from its birth to its last days in Peking（ 1926-1952）, and formed a unique idea from his edu- cational practices. The educational mission was to combine Chinese and Western cultures; the educational aim was to cultivate elites and outstanding talents; the discipline construction was to have both general education and special education; and, teaching and research should complement each other.
