汉英动物词文化内涵差异与对应空缺的原因探究

摘　　要：从文化语言学和对比语言学的角度,对汉英两种语言中动物词文化内涵差异与对应空缺进行了对比分析,在此基础上,又从语言与社会和文化的视角来看待动物词文化内涵差异这一特征,并对导致动物词文化内涵差异与对应空缺的原因,从历史文化、宗教信仰、地理状况、生产活动与经济、思维方式、文学作品等方面进行了深入探究。这将有助于理解动物词的文化内涵,把握动物词深厚的文化积淀,在跨文化交际中增强对文化差异的敏感度,顺利地进行跨文化交际,并有效地指导翻译实践活动。From the perspective of cultural linguistics and contrastive linguistics, this paper makes an analysis of the mismatch and vacancies of cultural meanings between Chinese and English animal words. On the basis of this analysis, the connotation differences between the animals words are studied from the angle of society and culture. And furthermore the paper carries out an exploration into the causes of the different connotations and corresponding vacancies of animal words between the two cultures from the fol- lowing respects： history, religion, geographic conditions, production activities and economy, modes of thinking and literary works. And consequently we may better understand and grasp cultural connotations of animal words, strengthen our sensitivity to different cultures, execute cross-cultural communications smoothly and facilitate successful translation.
