摘　　要：夏伯嘉《紫禁城的耶稣会士:利玛窦(1552-1610)》(牛津大学出版社2010年)是一本重要的新著,它被翻译为包括中文在内的多国文字。然而,此书远非完美,而是存在不少错误甚至严重的错误,这主要表现在为,罗明坚的汉语水平问题,利玛窦在南昌铁柱宫的遭遇,李贽在《与友人书》中对利玛窦的疑问,以及罗马耶稣会档案馆珍藏的一份官方文书,等等。A Jesuit in the Forbidden City： Matteo Ricci 1552E1610（Oxford University Press, 2010）by Prof. R. Po-chia Hsia, is an important new book, which has been translated into several languages, including Chinese. However, this book is far from being perfect; it has many errors, some of which are serious. This paper focuses on four episodes in the book, namely the question of Chinese language level of Michele Ruggieri, the bitter experience of Matteo Ricci in Tiezhugong of Nanchang, the doubt ofLi Zhi about Matteo Ricci in his letter to friends, and a Chinese document conserved in the Jesuit Archives in Rome.
