摘　　要：高等职业教育受经济社会发展的影响,越来越需要培养多元化、专业化的人才,这就要求高职英语教学应与各种领域的专业内容相结合,使学生在有限的时间内最大限度地获取胜任将来工作所需的英语应用能力。ESP正符合了这一需求,近年来所颁布的各种有关高职英语的教学文件都要求开设ESP课程。实施ESP教学已逐渐成为高职英语改革中的必然趋势。Along with the development of the economical society, the demand for the talents of higher vocational education tends to be diversified and professional, which requires the higher vocational English teaching to be associated with the majors in vari- ous fields so as to enable students to greatly acquire English practical ability for their future jobs within the limited time. ESP is just in accordance with the demand. In recent years, the ESP course has been required to set in many teaching documents on higher vocational English. It has been an inevitable trend to implement ESP teaching in the reform of higher vocational English course.
