摘　　要：童谣是民间口头文学和儿童文学的一种,其翻译长期以来未受到应有的重视。本文通过分析清末何德兰(Isaac Taylor Headland)所编译的《孺子歌图》探讨童谣的语言特色及其英译问题。文章指出语体风格、语言特点、独特句法等对童谣的翻译具有重要影响。Children＇ s rhyme is a kind of oral folk arts and children＇ s literature. Its translation has long been neglected. Taking Chinese Mother Goose Rhymes by Isaac Taylor Headland as an example, this paper discusses the language features of children＇ s rhyme and its Chinese - English translation. It is concluded that the translation of children＇ s rhyme is affected by its unique style, language features, sentence patterns, etc.
