摘  要:外语教学质量与外语教师素质有着密切关系。而提高外语教师素质关键在于重视和促进外语教师的专业发展。现代社会信息化的快速发展使媒介素养成为高校外语教师综合素养的重要组成部分。教师媒介素养丰富了教师专业发展的内涵,为新时代教师专业发展提供了新的切入点。依据教师媒介素养的内涵,结合高校外语教师专业发展现状和外语学科特点,从媒介素养对促进外语教师发展的必要性,将媒介素养培养有效融入外语教师专业发展的途径以及媒介素养教育对促进外语教师发展意义等几个方面进行了论述和探讨。Quality of foreign language teachers is a key factor which contributes to quality of foreign language teaching. In order to improve teacher's quality, great attention should be paid to their professional development. With the rapid development of information technology, media literacy has become an essential part of teacher's quality. Media literacy not only enriches the connotation of the foreign language teacher's development, but also offers a new perspective for improvement of their development. Based on an analysis about current situation of foreign language teacher's development and characteristics of foreign language education, a systematic discussion is made on how to integrate media literacy education into foreign language teacher's professional development and the significance of foreign language teachers' media literacy for their professional development.
