从中西文化差异看词汇联想意义的翻译

摘　　要：词汇的联想意义是非词语本身所固有的一种附属意义,具有极大的不稳定性。中西文化在自然环境、价值体系、历史传说及风俗习惯等方面均存在巨大差异,也导致了英汉词汇联想意义的差异和翻译中的种种难题。在翻译中要灵活使用归化、释义等多种翻译策略,来保证读者反应的对等效果。The associative meaning is a kind of attached meaning to words, which demonstrates great instability. There exist significant differences between Chinese and western cultures in their natural environment, value systems, historical legends as well as social customs, which finally leads to the great discrepancy in translation of associative meanings. In translation, various of methods such as domestication and paraphrase should be applied flexibly to achieve equivalent effects in target readers.
