English Learning Anxiety for Adolescent and Its Relation to English Achievement

摘  要:目的考察青少年英语学习焦虑的现状、特点,与英语成绩的关系及学业水平对焦虑的影响。方法采用外语学习焦虑问卷和基本资料调查表,对陕西756名青少年进行调查。结果①焦虑程度总体处于中等偏上水平(3.12≥x-≥2.78);②焦虑总分及因子分的性别差异(t=2.14,P<0.05),学业阶段差异(F=4.01,P<0.05),城乡差异(t=2.47,P<0.05),学习年限差异均显著(F=3.39,P<0.05);③焦虑总分及因子分与英语成绩存在显著负相关(r=-0.184~-0.274),学业水平对焦虑总分及因子分具有显著影响(F=9.60,P=0.00)。结论青少年焦虑水平较高,且焦虑程度越高,其英语成绩越差。Objective The status and characteristics of adolescent' English learning anxiety ,its relations to English achievement and influence of academic levels on anxiety were explored. Methods A total of 780 adolescent in Shaanxi were surveyed by using FLCAS and self-developed personal data questionnaire. Results ①Total anxiety was over medium level;②There were differences on anxiety with gender(t= 2.14 ,P= 0. 032) ,academic stages(F= 4.01 ,P= 0. 019), urban and rural(t= 2.47 ,P= 0. 014) ,years of learning (F = 3.39 ,P = 0. 034);③There were negative relations between anxiety and English achievement,and academic levels had influence on anxiety(F = 9.60,P = 0.00). Conclusion Adolescent' anxiety is in high level,according to its status,characteristics and its related variables,intervention studies and practices should he taken to promote their positive English academic emotions.
