摘  要:对当前中美高校教师发展的内涵、组织机构和项目活动三方面内容进行比较研究发现:由于中美高校教师发展所属阶段不同,目前两者在内涵上虽都涵盖了教学发展、组织发展、专业发展和个人发展四个方面的内容,但侧重点不同,美国更强调组织发展和个人发展,中国更强调教学发展;在组织机构上,美国高校教师发展工作以校内组织为主要力量,而中国以高校师资培训网络体系为主要力量;在实施的项目活动上,美国比中国更具细致性与人文关怀。At present,American faculty development is in the prosperous stage and has many experiences,while the faculty development in China still is still in the primary stage.In order to further understand the development level of the Chinese faculty development and its deficiency,this paper carries out a comparative study of American and Chinese Faculty Development on three aspects:faculty development connotation,institution,and project.The study has found out that:because of the different stages at present,though their connotations cover four aspects including the teaching development,institutional development,professional development and personal development,it emphasizes more on organizational development and personal development in America.However,China emphasizes more on teaching development;campus organizations are the main forces of American faculty development,while the university teachers' training network system is taken as the main strength in China;in the implementation of the projects,there are more meticulous activities and humanistic care in America.Key words:faculty development;teacher's institution;faculty construction;faculty training mode
