摘　　要：翻译是将一种语言文化承载的意义转化到另一种语言文化中的跨语言、跨文化的交际活动。因此,本文拟在美国翻译理论家尤金·奈达提出的"功能对等"理论的指导下,以中医文本的英译为例,探讨如何正确传递中医文本所蕴含的文化信息。Objective： Translation, whose working object is language, was a form of communication and is closely related to culture. Traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） and its culture have always been considered as the unique treasure of our country, and with the ever-increasing cooperation and communication between nations, more and more Chinese medical texts need to be translated into English. Therefore, this paper tends to explore effective methods for Chinese-English translating by analyzing some practical exam- pies of TCM translation based on Nida＇ s ＂Functional Equivalence＂ theory.
