On the Localization of Chinese Textbooks for Non-Chinese Learners Used in Nationalities Universities in Western China

摘  要:汉语国际传播中,对外汉语教学存在着教师、教材和教法的本土化问题。其中教材的本土化是关键。目前西部民族高校缺乏本土化的对外汉语教材,致使学习者不能通过教材了解西部少数民族文化。编写西部区域特色教材要突破的难点是初级教材课文语料超纲词的问题;中级、高级教材课文语料易读性的定量分析问题。At present,the content of textbooks used in the universities is seriously removed for those learners who take the western minority culture as their subject,and who rely on the universities for nationalities in the Western Region.Therefore,the inclusion of multi-culture of ethnic groups in Chinese text books,and compiling a textbook with western regional characteristics for the non-Han learners has become an urgent issue need to be solved.1.Platform for the Localization of Teaching-Text Design Language teaching materials are usually composed of text,vocabulary,sentence patterns and exercises.The text integrates vocabulary,sentence patterns,culture and other factors together by which the static linguistic elements are changed into a dynamic discourse with practical communicative meaning,and then,the educational function of the teaching material is fulfilled.As the main part of the teaching material,the text is not only an important reference for evaluating whether a textbook is targeted,practical and normative,but it is also a platform on which to create the teaching material' s regional characteristics.When compiling a text with ethnic regional characteristics,we should take the following three relationships into consideration:1)The Relationship between the Text and Ethnic Cultural Words The inclusion of too many obscure words in a text will seriously affect the learners' interest and the readability of the text.However,those words that reflect ethnic culture and customs are usually more obscure.In order to solve the contradiction between the readability of a text and the obscure words,one must first,maintain a good control over the ratio of obscure words to the length of the text.Less obscure words in the text will make the text more readable,otherwise it can backfire,and this will influence the teaching schedule.Second,one should eliminate obscure words by using the transcription or rewritten pattern.In order to reduce the difficulty in understanding the text while not affecting the ethnic cultural characteristi
