摘　　要：新词是词汇研究的重要部分。新词反映了时代的变化和发展,是社会进步的表现,因此新词的研究具有重要的意义。文章回顾了认知语言学中隐喻和概念整合的主要思想,并对近年出现的英语新词进行解析,从认知语言学的角度对英语新词进行考察,表明新构词与新义词的意义构建都是认知的结果,为英语新词的研究提供了新的理论视角。Neologisms are important parts in vocabulary study. They reflect the change and development of society, so researches in this field are of vita significance. This paper reviews the concept of metaphor and conceptual integration in cognitive linguistics, and makes an analysis of English neologisms in recent years. It approaches English neologisms from the perspective of cognitive linguistics, concluding that both newly created words and old words with new meanings are the result of cognition. Such a study provides a new theoretical perspective for the study of English neologisms.
