摘　　要：在高等教育大众化阶段,特色已成为地方性高校存在与发展的生命线,挖掘大学特色,创建特色大学,已成为众多地方性高校发展的一个重要战略任务。然而,众多高校在创建实践中存在着对特色大学概念及内涵认识不清的现象,导致办学中陷入迷失困境。对特色大学的概念、内涵等进行辨析,进一步厘清特色大学办学思路和规律,明确特色大学发展的目标和前进的方向,具有重要意义。In the popularization of higher education, the characteristic has become the lifeline of existence and development of local univer sities. Creating characteristic univemities has become an important strategic task in the development of many local universities. However, in the creation practice many universities don＇t have any basic idea of the core connotation of characteristic universities which results in a dilemma. It is of great significance for local colleges to analyze the concept and connotation of the characteristics of university and clarify the characteristics way of school running and the goal and direction of university development with specific features.
