摘  要:知识谱系的分化,社会需求的变迁让外语教育中的人文精神价值取向不断失落,外语的工具属性对人文属性的强势挤压,几乎使外语教育走上了工具化的发展道路。近年来,国家经济社会发展对公民素质、道德、精神层面的呼唤不断激荡中国的高等教育。外语院校通过对外语课程自身人文属性的张扬和通识教育课程的开设以实现外语院校人文精神的复归,外语院校的课程设置和相应制度保障成为人文和通识教育有效实施的重要渠道。Foreign language education, with its orientation toward humanistic values being deviated due to continuous sub- divisions of knowledge genealogy and changes of social demands, has been confronted with a spiritual loss, in which its in- strumental attribute has outweighed its humanistic attribute. In recent years, the national economic and social developments have impelled a greater call for the enhancement of citizens' qualities, morals, and ethical conducts, and this has brought an on-going agitation that disturbs Chinese higher education. To reinvigorate its spiritual foundation, foreign language uni- versities should invite its own humanistic values from within and open general courses on humanity, whereupon appropriate course arrangements and according institutional sustainment becomes a vital channel for effective implementation of human- istic and general education.
