摘　　要：独立学院是高等教育快速发展中的新生事物,近些年来发展迅猛。独立学院目前体育理论课教学各方面都不尽如人意,与国家要求和学生需要有较大差距,要充分发挥体育理论课的功能和教育作用,就应建立体育理论教学管理系统;"化整为零",对独立学院公共体育理论课采用新模式;严格执行国家理论课教学时数规定,提高独立学院体育理论课内涵;全面提高独立学院在职教师现代体育教育理论水平。Independent college is a new phenomenon in the rapid development of higher education, which develops rapidly in recent years. Public sports theory course teaching in independent college is dissatisfactory, which has bigger difference to the national requirements and students’ need. Therefore, we should give full play to the function of sports theory and education, establish sports theory teaching management system, adopt new mode to public sports theory course in the independent college, strictly implement national theory course teaching time, improve the independent college theory connotation, and improve the level of independent college teachers’ modern sports education theory comprehensively.
