摘  要:拔尖创新人才培养工程建设近年来如火如荼,遍及全国各地高校。为该工程提供高水平英语教学为大学英语教师提出了新的挑战。本文介绍北京地区某研究型大学拔尖创新人才培养计划英语课程设计方案。基于对该工程的人才培养目标、学校的政策和理工科背景、学生的现状、近期与中、长期目标、英语课时分配等因素的分析,课程定位为通用学术英语,分四个阶段循序渐进地发展学生综合学术用途英语交际能力和核心学术技能,为他们用英语进行专业领域或交叉学科领域的学习、研究和国际交流提供坚实的语言支持。In recent years many universities in China have established elite programs to produce outstanding creative talents. Adapting college English teaching to the needs of these programs poses a new challenge to English teachers. This paper reports the English course design targeted for top students at a research oriented university in Beijing. Based on analyses of such factors as the program goals, the school' s science and engineering background, the students' learning needs as well as the credit hour allotment, a broad angle EAP approach, i.e. English for General Academic Purposes, is taken in the course design, aiming to develop students' overall communicative competence and core academic skills in a four-phased step-by-step mode. The course provides solid language support for students' learning, research and international academic exchange in their respective disciplinary or interdisciplinary fields.
