摘　　要：车牌图像预处理作为车牌自动识别系统最基础的一个环节,其处理效果直接影响到车牌自动识别系统的识别效果.对车牌图像的灰度化、灰度图像增强、灰度图像二值化预处理技术进行研究,利用采集的原始车牌图像在MATLAB环境下进行实验.实验结果表明,所采用的预处理方法具有良好的处理效果,为后续车牌的准确定位与识别奠定基础.License plate pretreatment is a basis step for the license plate recognition system, and the pretreatment result will directly affect the recognition result. Some processing operation was put forward, which include the gray processing of image, image enhancement algorithm and the binarization of gray image. The experiment was undertaken with original image using Matlab image processing toolbox, and the results indicate that the proposed methods have achieved good effects.
