摘  要:作为英语写作的一种形式,英语读书报告在提高大学生英语学习效果、提升教师大学英语科研水平方面有着其他形式的写作所不具有的优势。文章从读书报告的定义入手,首先分析了英语读书报告对学生和教师的促进作用。与此同时,文章着重分析了撰写读书报告对师生的挑战及对策,并指出了后续研究的相关问题。Compared with other forms of English writing, book report has its unique advantages in improving students' learning effects of college English and teachers' level of scientific research in college English. We first analyzed the definition of book report, and then dwelled on its positive effects on students and teachers. In addition, the paper mainly talked about the challenges that book report bring to students and teachers as well as the solutions of students and teachers to such challenges. At the end of the paper, it listed some problems needed to be solved in the further researches
