摘　　要：通过对企业、高职毕业生及在校生的访谈和问卷调查,及对高职实用英语能力培养的社会需求和学习需求的调查,研究发现高职英语教学与企业人才需求之间的差距,在此基础上提出了云南高职英语教育实用人才培养的思路与建议。The paper attempts to examine the learning and social needs of the practical ability in English application test in higher vocational ＆ technical colleges （HVTC） by means of the needs analyses of the undergraduates, graduates and enterprises. The results indicates a gap between the English teaching status quo in HVTC and social needs, proposals are made for teaching re- form in Yunnan higher vocational education.
