摘　　要：英语专业精读课是英语专业的核心课程。文化能力是综合能力培养的不可或缺的一部分。本文以《现代大学英语》教材为例,探讨了如何有效地在精读课背景知识讲解中对学生进行文化渗透的方法和途径。The course of intensive reading is one of the core courses for English major students. Cultural competence is an in- dispensable part of the integrative capability for English learners. By analyzing the textbook of ＂Contemporary College English＂, this academic paper aims to explore the effective approaches to promote cultural infiltration among students through the back- ground information introduction of intensive reading classes.
