摘 要:本文以习语可分解观为理论依据,通过英汉跨概念和跨文化习语对比分类框架,采用"出声思维"的方法 ,分别调查了我国英语专业中级和高级学生理解包含隐喻和文化内涵的英语习语时使用的策略。结果显示:1)二语习语理解本质上是个"探究"的过程;2)二语水平对策略使用的成功率无显著影响,习语类型同时影响策略类型的使用和理解成功率。文章在调查结果的基础上探讨了一语习语理解与二语习语理解的相似性,并重新审视了相关研究的一些结果。Guided by the view of idiom decomposability, this study investigated the role of idiom type and proficiency in L2 idiom processing within the framework of two contrastive models of English and Chinese idioms, one for conceptual metaphors, the other for color idioms. Two studies were conducted in which intermediate and advanced Chinese EFL learners 'thought aloud' when processing ten types of English idioms. It was found that L2 idiom processing is heuristic by nature, and proficiency level does not play a significant role in this process. What affects the processing is idiom type, which also determines types of strategy adopted by learners. Based on the above findings, the main features of L2 idiom processing are summarized, and used as a frame of reference to examine the similarities between L1 and L2 idiom comprehension, and the findings of previous related L2 research.
