摘　　要：录囚制度源远流长,代有传承损益。其功能有三:一曰平反冤狱;一曰清理滞狱;一曰赦降放遣。世易时移,沧海桑田,录囚制度仍可为改善我国刑事审判监督程序之龟镜。Prison-inquisition system in ancient China has a long history and it comes down from dynasty to dynasty with increases or decreases in content. The system has three functions, namely, for reverse of unjust verdicts, for clearance of long-pending cases and for pardon or executive clemency or sending prisoners to faraway places. Dynasties have changed with time going on. However, prison-inquisition system can still be an example for us to follow so as to improve the current procedure for criminal trial supervision in China.
