苏州园林景点通名英译实证研究

摘　　要：运用定量的研究方法,在苏州实地调查并收集了列入"世界文化与自然遗产名录"的9座苏州园林中的双语景点名称,对通名翻译的情况进行了统计、分析,对照原文,遵循景点通名翻译准确、统一的原则,给出了园林景点通名的建议译文。Quantitative method has been adopted to collect firsthand bilingual data of scenic spots ＆#39;names from nine Suzhou gardens in the List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage .This paper analyzes these data , compares the English versions with the Chinese names so as to figure out suggested versions for generic names based on the principle of accuracy and the principle of unification .
