摘　　要：在全球经济困境的劳动力就业市场中,美国教师职业的供求关系不仅影响着教师职业的收入,而且影响着教师职业的社会地位及职业声望。美国教师职业已经成为重要的工作机会,教师队伍的多样性成为热议的话题。由于教师职业的稳定和收入的提高,美国教师职业的声望和社会地位得到极大提高,教师工作已经成为许多美国大学毕业生的理想职业。In the context of global economy crisis, the demand and supply of the elementary and secondary school teachers in America influences not only the teachers＇ income but also their social status and occupational prestige. The American teacher occupation has become an important working opportunity for the graduates and the diversity of teaching force has become a debatable topic. Because of its occupational stability and raised income, the occupational prestige and social status of the American teachers have enhanced greatly, and the teaching job has become an ideal position for many American college graduates.
