《千金》中汉语文化负载词的英语表达对汉译英的启示

摘　　要：母语为英语的华裔作家多以华人生活或华人历史为背景进行文学创作,他们的文学创作呈现出一种用英语表达中国社会文化的"翻译特征",涉及中国文化的英语表达问题。鉴于这种特殊性,本研究以Ruthanne Lum McCunn的英文原创小说Thousand Pieces of Gold(《千金》)作为研究文本,结合语料对作品中汉语文化负载词的英语表达规律进行分析,以探讨汉语文化负载词的英译问题。Literary works written in English by Americans of Chinese origin,involving an effort to de- scribe Chinese culture in English, have the characteristics of translation that involves the bilingual shift be- tween mother tongue and target language without referring to any source text. Given this uniqueness of Chinese American creative writing,this paper sets out to make an analysis of the textual data collected from Ruthanne Lum McCunn＇s English biographical novel Thousand Pieces of Gold to explore the strategies for C-E translation of culture-loaded words.
