摘　　要：多媒体教育技术的运用为大学新生自主学习英语提供了良好的外部环境。英语电教员应明确自己的新型角色定位,参与教学改革,辅助新生自主学习英语,研究网络教学规律,开发教育资源,与学生共建网络课程。The application of modern educational technology provides desirable external environment for the fresh- men to do independent study. Today, it embodies a new type orientation of the personnel engaging in electrified ed- ucation of foreign languages when they participate in teaching reform, assist freshmen to do independent English study, make researches in disciplines of network teaching, exploit educational resources, and make joint efforts with students to build network courses.
