摘 要:当前流行全球在地化思想。表面上看,全球化的趋势与在地化的趋势是对立的两极,其实不然。二者相辅相成,必须通过在地的传统,超越现有国家、民族、宗教的籓篱,开拓全球意识。我要做的即是通过当代新儒家的视域对全球在地化问题作出反思与响应。文章首先撮述儒家精神传统的核心概念与价值,但重点并不在此,而在针对当代西方学者的反思作出响应。正好有基督宗教背景的香港学者关启文撰文介绍马莎·纽斯邦(Martha Nussbaum)于1994年发表"Patriotism and Cosmopolitanism"一文重启爱国主义与普世主义的争端,引起当代西方精英学者16篇响应文章,然后有纽斯邦的回答。我利用关教授的撮述、批判、综合、探索引发思路,并由我自己一贯的新儒家观点吸纳新的睿识,作出反思与回应。Globalization and localization are seemingly two opposite trends. Actually they are not. They supplement each other. In order to enhance our global consciousness, we have to bypass the limits of nation, ethnicity, and religion through the traditions of localization. I try to reflect and respond the issues of glocalization from a Neo-Confucian Perspective. This article addresses the core values of Confucian spirit and responds contemporary western scholars' reflections on it. In 1994 Hong Kong scholar Guan Qiwen published a paper about Martha Nussbaum's article "Ratriotism and Cosmopolitanims" and the debates between among several western scholars. Based on Professor Guan's summaries and critiques, I address this question from Neo-Confucian Perspective.
