摘 要:克罗齐认为,逻辑的方法和机械复制思想所追求的原文与译文间的"同一"会使翻译成为不可能;不过,艺术作品之间类似点的存在,又会使翻译具有相对的可能性。后者主要包含两个方面的内容:第一、审美鉴赏中想象的"设身处地"可以保证原文与译文之间的相似与"相通";第二、基于"相通"基础上的想象的再创造能够让译文获得独创的艺术价值。有鉴于此,将想象引入翻译,弃"同"取"通",翻译,作为"通而不同"的"意象再造",便应该是可能的。Croce holds that translation will be driven into impossibility with the use of logical methods and mechani- cal replication which seeks after "the sameness" between the translation and the original. The relative possibility of literary translation may yet result from similarities between artistic works, which consists of two aspects : On the one hand, imagination in the phase of aesthetic appreciation can "situate the translator in the position of the author", thus may ensure similarities and "communication" between the translation and the original; On the other hand, the imaginative recreation based on the aesthetic appreciation can distinguish the translation from the original and guar- antee its original artistic value as well. Therefore translation, as "image recreation" characterized by "communica- tion in differences", will be possible if imagination can be introduced into translation with the adoption of "commu- nication" other than "the sameness".
