摘  要:对英汉双解学习词典翻译质量的研究存在着三个缺陷:研究没有基于抽样;绝大多数研究都没有限定词目词的类别;考察的词典多集中于《牛津高阶双解英语词典》和双解版《朗文当代高级英语词典》。本研究基于抽样对五大英语学习词典双解版中名物化学术词语的例证译文进行了考察,发现例证译文存在着三大类失误:理解失误、表达失误和原文谬误查考失误,最后讨论了三点例证翻译中应当注意的事项。There are three deficiencies in the studies on the translation quality of bilingualized English-Chinese dictionaries : the studies are not based on sampling; the categories of the words surveyed in most of the studies to are not delimited ; the surveyed dictionaries are mainly bilingualized versions of Oxford Advanced Learner' s Dictionary and Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English. The present author makes a sample-based survey of the verbal illustrations of nominalized academic words in the bilingualized versions of the Big Five, and the findings show that there are three broad categories of errors with the translations of their verbal illustrations: errors in understanding, errors in expressing ideas, and failures to delve into errors in the original texts. Finally, three key points concerning translating verbal illustrations of bilingualized dictionaries are discussed.
