摘　　要：海明威的短篇小说向来以结构精妙和语言简洁著称。结构主义文论者主张剥离文学作品中的曲折情节和复杂人物塑造,通过发掘隐藏的深层结构来揭示作品的内涵。从结构主义视角来看,《白象似的群山》体现了二元对立原则,是对真实生活的陌生化处理。Ernest Hemingway＇ s short stories are best known for their elaborate structures and concise language. Structuralists advocate a removal of intricate plots and complicated characterization in literary works to discover the hidden structure and the deeper implication. Hills like White Elephants, from a structuralist perspective, reflects the principle of binary oppositions; it is the result of de-familiarization of real life.
