摘 要:翻译学习是大学英语教学重要一环,但大学翻译教学在中国一直未受到应有的重视。大学英语四、六级考试翻译新题型对传统的大学英语教学理念提出了新的要求和挑战。从集美大学诚毅学院的一次大学英语四级考试模拟测试可以看出,众多翻译错误可以归结为写作问题,学生的汉译英水平在很大程度上取决于其英语写作能力,必须重视英汉两种语言文化的共性与异性,即"翻译写作学"核心思想,这就为提高普通高校大学翻译教学指明了方向。Translation teaching is an important part of college English teaching education and yet has remainedneglected. New translation requirements in CET 4/6 are challenging traditional didactic concepts of collegeEnglish education. A CET4 model test reveals that an overwhelming majority of translation errors are attributedto incompetent writing skills and that students' translation proficiency depends to a large extent on their writingskills, hence the conclusion that writing is a prerequisite of translation, that primary importance be attached toEnglish writing for non-English majors with a view to improving the readability of target language texts, and thatdue attention be paid to the distinctive features between Chinese and English. Empirical evidence provessuch a view, namely, translation writing initiated bymajors of provincial-level colleges and universities.
