摘  要:法国学者居依·德波提出以视觉体验为中心的未来社会趋势,无处不在的图像对人感官的吸引力远胜于文字阅读,这种生存环境决定了大学生养成选择表象思维,疏离文字阅读的习惯。当今以文本细读作为基本教学理念的大学英语课程受到极大冲击,教师应充分考虑到从语言中心转向图像中心所带来的认知方式、阅读心理、阅读功能等的变化,帮助学生重新调整语言学习策略。French scholar Guy Debord has ever proposed a future society dominated by visual experience, where pictures piling around us force sensory attractions to us rather than reading materials. This explains why college students prefer image thinking to text reading. Presently, the college English course with close reading as the basic teaching concept has been greatly shocked. English teachers, therefore, should be fully aware of the cognition, students' psychology of reading and the function of reading brought about by the shift from text .reading to image thinking so as to help students readjust their learning strategies.
