摘　　要：由于历史和政治的原因,林语堂文艺美学思想曾受到左翼文人的批判,从现代价值观出发,其思想建基于当时中国与西方具体的历史文化语境之中,以"人生"为核心,关注人类的实际生存困惑,饱含批判与创新,充满了现代人文精神。Lin Yutang＇s Aesthetic Thoughts of Literature and Art were once criticized by the left - wing literati in the past in Chi- na because of the factor of history and the politics. But according to modem idea, his thoughts was based on the Chinese and Western specific historical and cultural context and paid attention to human＇s actual living perplexities, reflected the modern humanistic spirit.
