摘　　要：外语教育的根本目的就是培养和发展学生的外语素质。外语素质也就是学生运用外语进行交际的能力，即在国际化、信息化社会中获得信息和处理信息的能力。本文着重论述了文化教学在英语教学中的必要性，探讨如何在英语教学中，从不同的层面来培养学生的跨文化意识和敏感性，提高其跨文化交际能力。with the development of society, English teaching becomes more and more important. The main part of language teaching is cultivating and developing the students＇ ability of language, so this essay mainly analyze how to improve the students ability of cross-cultural communication during the language teaching
