摘　　要：创新是人类财富之源泉 ,是社会发展之动力 ,是民族进步之灵魂。创新成果来源于人的创新活动 ,需要人的创新精神和实践能力 ,而这正是素质教育的重点任务。素质教育不同于“应试教育” ,就其本质特征而言 ,它是一种创新教育。全面推进素质教育势必要求在教育观念、教育体制、教育结构、人才培养模式、教育内容和教学方法等方面进行一系列变革 ,这些变革也就是教育的创新。创新不是对以往的全盘否定 ,而是继承与发展的辩证统一。Innovation is the source of material wealth, the driving force of social development and the spirit of a nation. Innovational products result from innovational activities inspired by innovation spirit, which is the main task of quality-oriented education. Different from examination-oriented education, quality-oriented education is innovational education in nature. To fully implement quality education, reforms must be made on educational perspective, educational system, modes of talent-training, educational contents and teaching methodology. Reform in these areas constitutes educational innovation, which is not a total denial of past experiences, but a dialectical unity of inheritance and development.
