摘　　要：在《吉姆爷》中 ,康拉德通过对主人公从道德失足到道德重建过程的描述 ,探索了道德理想与现实人生之间复杂的关系和人性中的矛盾倾向。康拉德肯定了道德追求对人生的积极意义 ,也指出了理想化的道德追求中所潜在的危险。In Lord Jim , Conrad reveals the complicated connections and contradictions between real life and the moral ideal by describing the progression of the hero's spiritual process from the wrong step on moral grounds to the rebuilding of the moral ideal. Although Conrad approves of the positive aspect of seeking for the moral ideal ,he points out the potential dangers in over-idealization of moral quest.
