摘　　要：文学和翻译批评常常是见仁见智,这并不重要,重要的是批评要重体验、讲依据,避免跟风或感情用事。本文记录了笔者研读乔志高译《大亨小传》的真实体会,并探讨了一种文学和翻译批评的有效方法。Though there isn't one standard for literary and translation criticism,my belief is that we should base our criticism on personal experience and solid facts instead of being merely influenced by others' opinions or our own emotions.This paper presents my true reading impression of Qiao Zhigao's Chinese version of The Great Gatsby and at the same time discusses an effective approach to literary and translation criticism.
