The "remaining educational elements"after one person has forgotten everything learned at school constitute the school memory. Educational reform can be effectively explored through an in-depth interview on the educatees born between the end of1960 s and 1970 s, as well as born at 1980 s and 1990 s for their school memories. Judging from the investigation results of the interviewed school memories, the original education, yet of rich "local style", was colorful, rich, solid and unique;however, with the evolution of modernization, even though huge historical progress has been achieved on education, it is becoming more and more dull, stiff, plane and boring. The homesick reluctance to leave isn’t the proper way out. On the contrary, to face future properlywe should accelerate the institutionalization and standardization of education. During the process of education modernization, we should adhere to"life consciousness"when deal with the relationship between education and human development. Besides, we should stick to"education consciousness"when deal with the relationship between education and social development. In this way, we can emphasize and cultivate the"remaining"educational"elements".
