摘　　要：清华大学提出了建设世界一流大学的奋斗目标 ,在国家的支持下 ,1999年启动了这一工作。建设世界一流大学关键是人才培养 ,必须在教学改革中建设、发展和提高。建设世界一流大学采取有重点、分阶段、抓关键、求突破的方针 ,遵循四个立项原则按项目启动 。Tsinghua University proposed its objective for building up a world class University, which was initiated in 1999 with the government support. The key component in the construction of a world class university is the training program of talents, which has to be conducted, developed and improved in the teaching reform. The construction of a world class university should be carried out in phases according to the policy of making the focal points stand out, stressing them and making a breakthrough. In the light of four principles, the project has been started and with efforts, encouraging progress has been made.
