摘　　要：计算机辅助教学(CAI)作为一种教学工具成为近年来外语教学探讨的热点.本文首先回顾了CAI软件的历史发展过程,然后对第三代CAI软件如何在课堂教学中得到有效应用进行了系统分析,这对我们如何有效地将计算机技术运用于外语教学具有重要意义.Computer assisted instruction (CAI) as an instructional tool has been popularly discussed in the foreign language teaching. This paper firstly reviews the history of CAIs development and then makes a systematic analysis of the main applications of the third generation CAI software, which are of great importance to efficiently apply computer technologies to the foreign language teaching.
