摘 要:赫钦斯对美国高等教育面临的外忧内患透彻的分析和其通过全面实施通识教育塑造具有完善人格的全人与重新转向专注于对真理的追求的高等教育改革设想,既深刻剖析了现代高等教育存在的关键问题,又指明了高等教育回归大学之道的发展取向。结合中国社会和高等教育发展共同面临的对民生、对个体人和公民教育的转型需要,中国高等教育理应在立足中国传统文化精华和教育实际的基础上通过实施通识教育,建构取向于对完善人格的培养和真理追求的基于统一原则的现代大学制度。Hutchins thorough analysis of internal and external risk concern facing American higher education and its shape through the full implementation of holistic Liberal has the perfect personality and re-turned to focus on the idea of the pursuit of truth higher education reform, both profound analysis of the key issues of modern higher edu- cation exists, but also pointed out the development orientation of Higher Education by returning to the essence of u- niversity.
