“必修型”课程类型定位对大学英语教学的影响——基于一项相关调查

摘　　要：以相关调查结果为依据,通过分析课程性质与西北欠发达地区二本院校大学英语教学中的五个突出问题之间的关系,指出了"必修型"大学英语课程类型定位的弊端,论证了西北欠发达地区二本院校大学英语由必修课程改为选修课程的必要性。In the 21st century, culture development and cultural soft strength have become the chief decisive factors in thecompetition of overall national strength. The popularity and development of English in China has played its part in theconstruction of Chinese cultural soft power. At the same time, it threatens the national security and brings about great impacts onpolitics, economics and culture. The current higher English education has both positive and negative effects in the building ofChinese cultural soft power. With the fast development of various fields in China and the increasing globalization of the world, thereform of higher English education should follow the route of internationalization, specialization and research, so that it cancultivate excellent English talents who truly have the cross-cultural communicative competence and make contributions to thefurtherance of Chinese cultural soft power.
